Andrea Jay McDaniel

A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 3rd at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home with Ed Ainsworth officiating.

Andrea was born January 10, 1989, in Lubbock to Mike and Peggy McDaniel where she graduated from Coronado High school and later attended Texas Tech University where she earned her bachelor's degree in sociology and pursued her passion for helping children through various programs. Andrea loved her family and friends and loved to spoil her two nephews. Andrea never met a stranger and had a genuine love for everyone she met.

Andrea is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Andrew and Verlon McDaniel and her maternal grandparents Sydney and Marie Jeter, as well as her uncle Weldon Ash MD.

Andrea is survived by her parents Mike and Peggy McDaniel. Her sisters, Ashley Cummings and her husband Brant of Lubbock. Allison Parnell and her husband Michale of Lubbock, and her two nephews Hayes Parnell and Asher Cummings, aunts Jan Ash and Nancy Simmons, as well as cousins, and the countless friends and lives Andrea has touched throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Lubbock Animal Shelter or to Children’s Hope of Lubbock.
