Addison Kahlich

Addison Kahlich was born in Lubbock, TX on February 7, 1996 to Greg Kahlich and Tiffany Peek-Kahlich at Covenant Hospital. She spent her early childhood raised in Smyer, TX and moved to Lubbock, TX while in first grade.

Addie’s greatest attribute was not only making you comfortable around her, but also helping you be comfortable within yourself. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Some of her favorite things to do were attend concerts, EDM festivals, and being outdoors. She also loved to go drive around with no destination, just talking and listening to music. She was amazing at getting those around her to get out of their comfort zone and live life to the fullest.

Addie loved her dog, Kora, more than anything in this world. The relationship they had was one of a kind. Whether it was laying around in bed, or going on hikes to the creek, the two were inseparable. Kora was recently lost, and Addie left no stone unturned in search for her. She would always wear Kora’s dog tag as a necklace so she could carry her close to her heart.

Addie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert Kahlich, Linda Kahlich, James Douglas Peek, and Jerry Richardson and cousin, Cody Baker. Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Greg Kahlich and wife Tammy; her mother, Tiffany Kahlich; her grandmother, Bobbye Richardson; her grandmother, Judy Peek; her brother, Mason Kahlich and wife Kayla and their daughter Lydia; her sister, Megan West and husband Zach; her brother, Nolan Kirksey; her daughter, Linden Kelly; her adoptive parents, Jordan and Brian Kelly; her aunt, Angela Kahlich; her daughter, Erica Baker; her uncles, Devin Peek and wife Stacy, Michael Peek and wife Dana, and Darren Peek. Addison is also survived by numerous cousins.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. A celebration of Addison’s life will be held in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Smyer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Peek, Morgan Peek, Darren Peek, Casin Peek, Brian Kelly and Nick Baker.
