He was born an only child, to Kathleen Gorham in Loveland, Colorado on February 20, 1985 and delighted when adopted on August 17, 1993 by his step-father Guy Carroll. This was a day that was celebrated yearly and designated as his "re-birthday".
He married Kayla Remus, December 31, 2019 ringing in the New Year. They lived together in Loveland, Colorado and established, what close family refers to as, the "Carroll Clan". Tom will have 6 children in all, three from his previous marriage with Calli Hernandez; Jaxon Thomas, Jaden James and Jayda Lynn Inez, twins, step-daughter Arayah Hope, from Kayla's previous relationship and together welcomed, Kynsleigh Rose. It was announced to the family on Thanksgiving, Kayla is expecting Tom's last child, due June, 20, 2022. Tom will be profoundly missed, but his children will carry on his legacy and his memory forevermore.
In 2002, Tom graduated from Larimer County High School, after attending Mountain View High School through his junior year and immediately dedicated himself to working hard and providing for his growing family.
Tom worked at many types of jobs over the years, but among his favorites was driving for Gallegos Sanitation, utilizing his hard earned CDL. He also enjoyed exploring various landscaping, construction and customer service positions; all creating vast and versatile knowledge in many different fields.
An honored and proud patriotic American, Tom represented the meaning of independence, freedom, care for others and love for his country with dignity. He never faltered on his beliefs, he truly is soaring with eagles.
Never limiting his desire to try new hobbies or activities, Tom enjoyed many different pastimes and entertainments. Most of all, Tom LOVED to fish. He always had a pole and tackle on hand to throw in a line, even if only for a moment. He relished in all things the outdoors had to offer, including shooting, camping, hiking and exploring the beauty of nature. He entertained his family, when weather required, indoors with boundless opportunities for fun, such as, family dance offs, video game tournaments, painting parties and an endless supply of laughs. Tom's greatest passion in life though, was his children.
He bestowed his children with memories of adventure and fun, enough to last a lifetime, and he would never miss a moment to express how proud, joyful, blessed and absolutely grateful he was of each and every one of them.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Carroll in 2017 and is survived by his wife Kayla Carroll, children Jaxon, Jaden, Jayda, Arayah, Kynsleigh and unborn child, father Guy Carroll of Las Vegas, Nevada and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a nephew.
Tom had a very kind heart, always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He was never ashamed of being himself and would often get smiles and laughter from everyone around him. He will forever be in our hearts, and will continue to watch over us in all of our moments.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Day Spring Christian Church, 8005 Highland Meadows Parkway, Fort Collins, CO 80528.
