One of the best memories I have with Scotty is during my time working at BBY. Back when we had to physically scan everything and peal stickers off, he would blast music to get everyone going. Or his very random screams across the store while we were still closed. Scotty, you always knew how to pump up a morning huddle, and bring energy to everyone around you. Rest in peace my friend. 🩷

Learning that Scott had passed was heart-wrenching and still difficult to believe. His presence brought so much encouragement to our team and his contagious laughter was the best part of kicking off our day together. He’d often show concern for those around him and he worked hard to help people feel accomplished. I know how proud he was of his dad as he’d carry a set of pens that once belonged to him in his front pocket - we still have them here at our center if someone from his family would like to have them. We’ve missed Scott every day since we last worked with him and cherish the moments we got to spend with him very much. My heart goes out to his family and friends grieving during this incredibly sad time.

Scott loved learning to snowboard despite all of his falls and the unending run down Schoolmarm. He learned to carve and even tackled a black run at Arapahoe Basin.  He had an Ikon pass and looked forward to a new season. His photos were his art and are his legacy.

Since finding out about you when I was 16, I was SO excited to learn I had a brother close in age. I spent countless hours searching Facebook and google trying to find you but never could. Fast forward to 2019 when you found me on ancestry dna, I literally jumped for joy when I read your sweet message. We laughed about how much we looked alike on FaceTime and you proudly showed me your amazing shoe collection. I wish we could’ve spent time together like we talked about but you will always have a special place in my heart. May you rest in peace and know how much you are loved.

Man, you’re an amazing person, and I will miss you my guy, this has hit me truly hard. Love you brother.

I know this is just a path, one that we all must take. I hope the grey rain curtain of this world has rolled back and all turned to silver glass. And then I hope you see it, white shores....and beyond. A far green country over a swift sunrise.

I am so proud of you for how hard you worked, the joy you shared  and the laughter you brought everyone. I miss you so much.

Still in disbelief that someone can start snowboarding and in 6 days be better than half the people on the mountain. I’ll miss trying to keep up with you on the runs you learned on. Can’t believe that you’re gone.

Wandering the jungle with Scott, watching him take photos, fall in love with every food he would try, each animal and feeling so at peace were moments I’ll cherish forever.

Cowboy and I will miss exploring with you. I hope you know how loved you are. I hope you’re at peace. I’m just so grateful that I got to love you.

Cowboy and Scott were two peas in a pod, each just as playful, silly and loving as one another. I’ve never met someone with such a big heart.

I'll fondly look back on the late nights and early mornings we spent working together. You were kind, a great leader and wonderful guy. Your contagious laugh and humor will be sorely missed. 

Rest easy.

I started hanging out with Scott's California friends right after he moved. They, without fail, would speak fondly of him and the brightness he brought their lives, it really felt like I had met him, even just barely.

I hope you get some easy rest, Scott. Your memory will be cherished, that I'm sure.

The tail end of this video captures Scott's absolutely hilarious laugh. Everyone who have been fortunate enough to meet you, surely heard that laugh many many times. You are missed.

I knew Scotty for a little moment of time, he was a good dude! This is a memory I have of him holding my son when he was first born, almost 5 years ago. 
My thoughts are with his family and friends, he'll be missed by many! Too soon ❤😔

I'll always remember the first time we met at your first interview at Best Buy, your infectious smile and big brain was hard to miss.  I could always count on you for some silliness in the middle of a stressful day, not to mention always being a rockstar at work.  You will be so missed my friend.  My deepest condolences to your wife and family; the world is a little darker without you in it.
