Sandra Jean Herring

Born October 19, 1948, in Utica, NY to Lloyd Legacy and Katherine Towns. Raised in Oriskany Falls, NY. She married William Herring in 1969 in New Martinsville, W. VA and began her career as a stay at home Mom, waitress, and retired as a bank teller in Sheridan, WY.

She loved her family, especially her grandkids. One of her most recent goals was see them all graduate high school and she did.

Proceeded in death by her Husband William Herring, Daughter Tanya Herring, Stepdad John Hennessy Jr., her parents, Brothers Richard Legacy, John Hennessy III, and William Hennessy.

Survived by her children Thomas Herring (Karrie) of Johnstown, CO, Tina Walker (Michael) of Fort Collins, CO, her Brothers Theodore Legacy and Brian Legacy, her Sisters Patricia Hynes and Dawn Schenk, as well as her grandchildren Hailey, Alex, McKenzie, Brittney and great grandchild Liliana Rose.

Fall was her favorite time of the year. She will be laid to rest in Sheridan, WY with “Bill” and Tanya in the spring but will enjoy this fall in the leaves in the Oriskany Falls Park.
