Patricia Jane Stewart

Patricia Jane Stewart, 77, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Patricia was born in Berwyn, IL to Harry and Irene (Kostka) Stewart on January 16, 1947. Patricia graduated from Colorado State University with her bachelor’s in 1968 and Master’s in 1989. She also had her teaching certificate and taught classes at CSU and was a substitute teacher at Poudre School District. She had a private practice and worked as a therapist at Mountain Crest Behavioral Center until her retirement in 2014.

Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to Panera, dancing and singing in Old Town, and taking long walks with her dogs. She was a talented poet and writer and loved reminiscing about her hometown, Berwyn, IL, going to church, and being part of the Warrenteens where she met friends she would cherish forever.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Arthur Stewart and Irene Rose Kostka Stewart. She is survived by her four children, son, Frank Martinez (Anne Marie); daughter, Rena Martinez; daughter, Rachel Martinez, and son, Robert Lashwood IV (Christina); grandchildren, Kassandra Martinez, and Anthony Alvarez (Katie); great-grandchildren Rayleigh and Ezra Alvarez, and many more beloved extended family members.

The family will continue to celebrate her life and invite you to celebrate her by cherishing the ones you love.
