Neil Obrigewitch

Neil was born on July 14, 1953 in Belfield, North Dakota. He was the youngest of 11 children brought up by Paul and Bridget (Kuntz) Obrigewitch. He grew up in Belfield where he met his high school sweetheart, Rita Anne Sauvageau. Following high school and his term of service in the Marines, Neil and Rita were married. They started a family of their own and were blessed with two daughters, Angie and Christie.

Neil went to a four-year trade school to train as a carpenter journeyman. He worked as a carpenter for 10 years and then as a construction inspector for the Bureau of Reclamation for the remainder of his career. He was a man of deep faith and a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish in Loveland. He enjoyed the outdoors and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Neil was a man of strong character and great integrity. His family always came first. He was a wonderful husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

Neil is survived by his devoted wife of almost 50 years, Rita Obrigewitch; daughters, Angie Allee (Jamie) and Christie Blackard; and by his grandchildren, Ryan, Bergen, & Bridget Allee.
