Michael passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Michael was born in Denver, Colorado to John and Thelma (Knapp) Strick. He served as a Sergeant (SP5) in the US Army during the Vietnam war. After the war, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Regis University.
Michael married the love of his life, Mary, on December 1, 1972 and they raised 2 children together. He worked for Eastman Kodak in Windsor, Colorado for over 30 years as a Firefighter, Water Treatment Specialist, and Business Analyst. His hobbies were wood working, going on bicycle trips, and spending time with his family and grand-kids. He always loved a Sunday drive to the mountains and loved to show off his pictures of the wild animals that came into his yard at home. He was known for telling jokes and trying to be funny.
Michael is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary (Linsenmeyer); son and spouse, Ernest and Andrea (Campbell); daughter and spouse, Carrie and Richard O'Dell; grandchildren, Brenden (Campbell-Strick) and Molly; step-grandchildren, Zavier and Amira O'Dell; 2 brothers and spouses, Jerry and Jeanne and Johnny and Peggy; several nieces and nephews, and close in-laws.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents John and Thelma (Knapp) Strick and parent-in-laws, Ernst and Lenora Linsenmeyer; brother-in-laws, Roger and John Linsenmeyer and Babrak Khaleeq; sister-in-law, Patricia Linsenmeyer; and niece, Kimberly Linsenmeyer.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
