Maria was a woman of strong faith who loved Jesus with all of her heart. She was the most devoted mother anyone could ask for and was well known for her cooking, especially making the best breakfast.
She was born to Lorenzo and Concepcion Garcia on December 7, 1933. At the age of 15 she was happily married to Miguel P. Alvarez in Texas. Together, they were survived by their children Miguel Jr Alvarez, Jesse (Dolores, Alvarez) Gloria (Armando, A. Ybarra) Jose Alvarez, Olga (Ramon, Ybarra) Rosa (Robert, Serna) Gracie (Cano) Cristina Alvares, Amie Lujan, Michael (Leah, Alvarez) Alicia (Hector Gonzalez) as well as Pedro Garcia, Yolanda Garcia, Willie (Gina, Garcia) and Celia (Alfred, Leyba) who they lovingly raised as their own.
She was an adoring grandmother to 37 grandchildren as well as 73 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Husband Miguel P. Alvarez, Daughter, Rosa Serna and son Miguel Alvarez Jr.
Services will be held at Allnutt funeral home in Loveland, CO. Viewing is on Thursday February 28, 2019 4:00-6:00 PM. Funeral service and burial on March 1, 2019 10:00-12:00 AM.
