Katherine Helen Mendenhall

Katherine preferred to go by her nickname Katie most of her life, and this is the name that we all know and love her by. Katie married the love of her life Noble "Jr" Mendenhall, on July 13th, 1946.

Katie is survived by her three loving daughters, Connie, Kathie, and Cindy, and thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was so proud to be part of five living generations. Katie was preceded in death by Noble, her loving husband of 50+ years, her youngest daughter Crystal, and her beautiful grandchildren Mary Kay, Megan Marie, and Shannon.

Katie graduated from The Brandon School after attending all 12 years there. Before marriage, she worked as a telephone operator for the Mountain States Bell Telephone Company. After eloping to Raton, New Mexico, with "Jr" in 1946, she continued working until the birth of her first daughter in Lamar, Colorado, in 1948. In 1949, the young families' California adventure began. There Katie and Jr. welcomed three more daughters.

Back to Colorado, where their hearts always remained, in 1979. There, they met their church family at The Church of Christ. They settled in Loveland and kept their doors open to their children, generations of grandchildren, and numerous much-loved fur babies.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 22nd at 11:00 at The Church of Christ, 4100 S. Taft Ave. Loveland, Co. 80537.
