Judy was a native of Loveland. Judy was born in the spring of 1930 amidst the backdrop of the great depression. Her parents, Marie and Henry Lutz were immigrants from the Volga region of Russia. They were German in language and culture, immigrating through Ellis Island as children with their families. They came to Colorado to work in the sugar beet industry, along with their fellow Volga Germans. Judy attended Loveland schools, graduating from Loveland High School in 1948. In July that year she married Paul and they started their life long journey together.
Together, they had three daughters, Karen (Mark), Kathy, and Sandy (Greg). She devoted herself to her family and home. She taught her children through unconditional love and kindness. She was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in Loveland, where she sang in choir for over 20 years. Judy loved to crochet and made many beautiful things for her family and friends.
She took special joy in her grandchildren, Brittany Rose (Devon), Matthew Kasuda, Peter Standiford (Ashlee), and Nicole Crane (Dawson), as well as her great grandsons, Carter, Camden and Cade Rose.
Along with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, she is survived by her sister, Juna Lee Marie Wergin, with whom she shares a special bond. Her husband and parents as well as her two older brothers, Harold Arthur Lutz and Henry Lutz Jr., preceded her in death.
Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions are encouraged in Judy's memory to The House of Neighborly Service in Loveland, an organization that was near and dear to Judy for all that they do in the community of Loveland.
