Jo grew up in Chicago but she always dreamed of the West. In her youth, she would take the bus all over the city to see her favorite actor, Roy Rogers, in Westerns playing in theaters, sometimes changing buses several times and staying in the theater watching them over and over. Her love of the West and Western shows and movies continued throughout her life.
Jo married Julius Joseph Bojan on August 26, 1950 and together they raised three children, Diane Marie, Susan Marie and Timothy Mark. The family resided in Northbrook, Illinois. They loved to travel to Colorado and took many family vacations to Sylvan Dale Ranch in Loveland. The Bojan's planned to one day move to Loveland but Julius passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 42 in November of 1969. Jo and the kids remained in Illinois until 1974 when Jo decided (against the wishes and advice of her siblings) to move the family west to Loveland. There she resided until her passing.
Jo is survived by her children, Diane Marie Bojan, Susan Marie Keirnes and Timothy Mark Bojan and wife Jean, Granddaughter, Kelsey Jo Bojan Geyer and husband Mark, Grandson, Michael Julius Bojan and wife Jami, Great Grandchildren, Ryder, age 4, Elizabeth, age 3, Noah, age 2 and Josephine, age 1.
