JOHNSTOWN, COLORADO – John Patrick Curran III, 66, died April 22, 2020 due to complications from stroke. He was born May 15, 1953 in Sterling, Colorado, the son of Georgia Newton Curran and John Patrick Curran Jr. He married Mary French on May 26, 1989.
John was a man of deep faith who was gentle and kind. He loved spending time with his family. He was very athletic and enjoyed golf, baseball, football, hockey and basketball. He had an adventurous spirit as a young adult and traveled the entire United States on his motorcycle. John could do just about anything when he set his mind to it. He worked various jobs in his life, but his true talent was in skilled trade and craft carpentry. John had a special place in his heart for the elderly and had a deep fondness for all animals, especially his cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Paula Rose Curran. Surviving in addition to his wife Mary (French) Curran, are sisters Stephanie Curran, Susan (Kevin) Lee, and Mary (James) Greenhalge, two nephews Christopher (Amanda) Greenhalge and Patrick (Colleen) Lee, a great-nephew and 4 great-nieces, extended family, and friends.
In accordance with his wishes no formal memorial service is planned. We ask that you take a moment to reflect upon how John was a part of your life; give those furry friends a special treat; fill the bird feeders; and let the rabbits eat one of the garden carrots.
