He was spontaneous and full of adventure; most of his life consisted of it. He had such an excitement for new experience. He loved trains, cars, and sail boats. He not only loved to cook, but to create incredible dishes in the kitchen and on the grill. He was incredibly brilliant, full of so many facts and information about anything and everything. He loved to read, garden (flowers were his favorite) and build things. He was an easy-going man, his spirit was so gentle, kind, and caring. He would help anyone. He had an old soul and would always be listening to music, which mostly consisted of John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, Nathaniel Ratecliff, and classical music.
He had stories for everything from his vast experiences. He was so fearless and full of life. His beautiful baritone voice would just draw you in. He was wonderfully charismatic, witty, and sarcastic, his smile was contagious and genuine. Everything about him was genuine.
Our love was a fairytale that oozed romance and utter adoration for one another. We were best friends. We did nothing apart from each other and it left us perfectly content and happy. We found ourselves in one another. He fought hard to change his life, he lived a new life for our new beginning together every day. He was so proud of our marriage, our home, and our lives together.
He had a very hard life, battled darkness and carried that burden with him. Sometimes those burdens haunt deeply. My sweet, wonderful husband, Jarod, passed away 6 months and 7 days after we married. My heart is his heart, my breath is his breath, and my soul is his soul. He is my everything and will forever be missed.
Jarod is survived by his wife, Angela Gibson; daughter, Daisy Gibson; stepdaughter, Manaia Griffin; stepsons, Quest Theodoran and Zander Theodoran; mother, Leatha Comstock; father, Richard Gibson; brothers, James Gibson, Joshua Gibson, and Joseph Stacks; and sister, Jeanene Stellers.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Gibson.
