Graduating from Brigham Young University in Economics, Paul received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah and spent his career in the telecommunications industry, retiring from Centurylink Communications as a Director of Regulatory Compliance.
A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Paul served as a missionary in the Korea, Seoul Mission and then served in various other callings, including four times on the high council, Elders Quorum President, and in four separate bishoprics before serving as a bishop during Covid pandemic.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Dan, Paul is survived by his wife Rose (Sanders), son Russell, daughters Tiffany (Hodson), Stephanie (Stewart), and Camilla Nielsen. All remaining seven brothers, two sisters, and six grandchildren survive him.
Speaking often to church groups on self-reliance and identifying ancestors for the FamilySearch and Find a Grave genealogy database, Paul's greatest joy in life was spending time with his loved ones, regardless of the activity. He will be missed.
He is buried next to his grandparents in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Millcreek, Utah
