Howard Morgan (91) of Loveland Colorado passed away on September 4, 2022. He was born June 7, 1931 in Idaho. He grew up in Phillipsburg, KS with 6 siblings who have all preceded him in death. He met Thelma Wilson, the love of his life, in his hometown and they were married for 61 years prior to her passing in 2012. Howard and Thelma had two sons; Russ married to Barbara, and Brad married to Tracy. The family moved to Greeley in 1959 and then to Loveland in 1960 so Thelma could “see” the mountains. Howard started Morgan’s Floor Covering and owned it for 16 years. He also started Morgan Rental Properties and owned it for 62 years. He was energetic and driven whether it was business activities, his passion for cars, or helping others along the road of life.
He was heavily involved at his church, First Christian Church of Loveland. Howard and Thelma enjoyed cruising & traveling from Tahiti to Europe and everywhere in between. They especially enjoyed Hawaii and Arizona. They loved to dance! Howard was happiest working on a project from rebuilding vehicles to his mountain properties. His grandkids, Tom Morgan married to Ciara with Great granddaughter Isabella, Callie Hoppe married to Ethan and expecting Baby Hoppe, and Andy Morgan all have fond memories and wonderful experiences with him.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2022 at First Christian Church of Loveland with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
