David was born on August 28, 1940, in Danville Vermont. He was the son of the late Clarence and Louise (Houston) Hale. He graduated high school from Hardwick Academy, then obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance at the University of Texas. After graduation, David joined the U.S Navy and honorably served his country for 4 years. He married his wife Darla on the military base in Fort Ord, California in March of 1962. The couple had two children, Ramona and Morgan.
After military service for which he was honorably discharged, David had a successful career in accounting, sales, and marketing. He retired in 2010 but continued to work, volunteering his time as a board member of the Homeowner’s Association in his neighborhood. During this time, David enjoyed exercising at the local health club, spending time with family and friends, and working in his garden. He was well known to many people in the neighborhood, who enjoyed coming to see what new project he was working on in his yard and to spend time socializing with such a kindhearted man.
David is survived by his two children, Ramona Pearson (Spokane, WA), and Morgan Hale (Oregon). He will be missed, but his spirit lives on in those fortunate enough to have known him. No funeral service will be held due to Corona Virus precautions, but those who wish to say goodbye and share a warm story are encouraged to walk past David’s yard at 1863 Halfmoon Circle, Loveland, CO. on Wednesday (6/24), mid-morning through afternoon.
