April Michelle Shaw

April Michelle Shaw was born to David and Theresa (Staplelton) Shaw in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was raised and educated in Fort Collins, graduating early at the age of 17 from Centennial High School in 2001. Upon her graduation she attended Front Range Community College working toward a Veterinarian Assistant Certification. April worked for Colorado State University briefly before working for Boyd Lake Veterinary and VCA in Fort Collins. She also enjoyed caring for her home that she and James moved to in Milliken in 2014, along with all her pets.

April loved to write and wrote beautifully. She also enjoyed music and sports including Nascar.

April was loved by her best friend and love of her life for 19 years, James Holbrooks and her beloved pets; parents: Theresa Shaw and David and Wendy Shaw; brothers: Cody (Tressa) Shaw and Christopher (Rebecca) Kneipp; sisters: Paige Shaw and Kayla (Ben) Palmer; maternal grandmother Bessie Stapleton; nieces and nephews: Donovan Shaw, Bailey Shaw, Kassidy Shaw and Jasper Shaw as well as many aunts uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Roberta Paulk and Frank Shaw and maternal grandfather L.C. ”Curly” Stapleton and brother, Michael Shaw.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Allnut Funeral Service Loveland. Interment will follow in Loveland Burial Park.
