Residing in Loveland, Colorado, Andy passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2022. A
Celebration of his life will be held by his family at a date and location yet to be determined.
Those who knew Andy knew him to be a proud and devoted father to his children and an
influential career-long educator. Growing up in Brentwood, California, he graduated from
Palisades High School. He moved to Colorado to chase his love for the outdoors and the Rocky
Mountains. He graduated with a degree in biology from Colorado State University in 1996.
Starting his 20-year education career at Conrad Ball Middle school, he proceeded to earn a
master's in Educational Technology from Lesley University in 2003. After 11.5 years spent in the
classroom, he pursued a job opportunity in professional development. He then spent four and a
half years, helping teachers implement technology in the classroom. In 2015, he moved St.
Vrain School district to pursue a job as a Learning Technology coach for Mead Highschool.
After four years, he was deemed permanently physically disabled because of the escalating
pain he had from his neuropathy/Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease(CMT). Once on disability, his
number one job was being a devoted stay-at-home father to his children and two furry children;
his dog Leia and cat Lizzy.
He is survived by; His two sons Aiden James Kaufman and Keenan Micheal Kaufman; His
daughter Annika Christine Kaufman; His mother, Suzanne Kaufman; Brother Mathew Kaufman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Kaufman.
