Andrea Venice Dawsey

She was the daughter of Luretta Ann and Michael Crawford Dawsey.

She was born on December 8, 1978, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Andrea was a 1997 graduate of Capital High School in Boise, Idaho. She was editor of the yearbook her junior year. She was a 2002 graduate of Colorado State University with a BA in Speech Communication where she was the social chairman for Chi Omega Sorority. She then continued her education at the University of Northern Colorado receiving a BS degree in nursing in 2009. Andrea especially enjoyed her time working in the hospital with the newborns. They called her the “baby whisperer” because she could so easily calm an unhappy baby.

Many special memories were created as the family travelled on planned vacations every year to many interesting places from Florida to the Canadian Expo.

Her favorite musicians were Johnny Cash and Elvis. She loved all rock and roll songs and knew most of them by heart.

Her favorite flowers were yellow and red roses.

Her favorite movies were Clue, Pretty Woman, An Officer and a Gentleman and Dirty Dancing.

Her favorite hobby was scrapbooking.

Close personal friends were Godparents, Yancy and Marisa Young, Kay and Judd Davis, Chuck Rice, Mark Coakley and Lela Havens.

Andrea was passionate about makeup, hairstyles, perfume, and stylish clothes. She was a professionally trained makeup artist for both Chanel and Lancôme. She had her own makeup business for a period.

Andrea had a kind heart and was a very caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved animals and family involvement.

In addition to her parents, Andrea is survived by a son, Christian Michael Dawsey.

She is sadly missed by all who knew her. We will keep her in our thoughts and hearts forever and ever.
