She was born March 12, 1938 in Eckerty, IN, the daughter of Clifford Cook and Claudine Lynch.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert A. Hawkins, Sr.
Yvonne lit up every room with her smile and generous spirit that was second to none.
She was a Certified Gemologist and worked at LeRoy’s Jewelers in Oxmoor Center. She had worked in jewelry sales for nearly 50 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Robert A. Hawkins, Jr. (Julie), Kimberly Hawkins King (Don), Mark Hawkins (Pam), Kristin Brahm (Jorgen) and Matthew Hawkins (Bethany); sister, Rae England; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Yvonne’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
