Born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 20, 1945, William was the son of the late Ennis D. Stone and Theresia M. Weedman.
William loved to travel, he spent many summer weekends at Rough River Lake with his family. He was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan, Harley-Davidson rider, and enjoyed lunches and outings with his friends.
William is preceded in his death by his wife, Diana Lee Stone; sister, Anna Stone; and brother, Ennis “Corky” Stone, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, William C. “Chip” (Elizabeth) Stone, Jr.; his grandson, Cody Stone; and his grand – dogler, Patches.
A visitation for William will take place Friday, August 30, 2024 at Evergreen Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. William will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
