William Harrison Saltkill Jr., age 95, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024. He was born on May 8, 1929, to the late William and Stella Saltkill.
A proud servant of his country, William was a veteran of the United States Army and later dedicated his career to serving as the civilian director of communications at Fort Knox. His work exemplified his commitment to excellence and service.
William was a longstanding member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky as a Freemason and was devoted to his faith as a member of Valley Station Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and his siblings. He is survived by his children, John Morris (Amanda) and Olivia Anne Morris Fuchs; his cherished grandchildren, Bill Morris, Beth Morris Eastman, and Drew Fuchs; and his treasured great-grandchildren.
William lived a life marked by integrity, dedication, and love for his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for William will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. The funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will take place at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272, at 1:00 PM.
