William L. Ireland, 83, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the VA Medical Center.
He was a retired bus driver for TARC and a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, June L. Ireland; son, Carl Ireland (Linda); daughter, Janet Starks (Bob); step-daughters, Cherry Miller and Tamala Junes; step-son, Perry Benningfield (Robin); 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Angela Garza.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 Monday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 770 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Sunday.
