We will always remember Bill as a gentleman, and such a kind and cheerful person who loved living.  He has left those who were blessed to know him, so many wonderful memories of which to cherish and revisit.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Ruth, and all of the family

Dear Ruth, Lynn, Billy, and all of the Green family,

As we honor Uncle Willie's life there are so many treasures he left behind - two wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grands and his forever soulmate, Ruth.  What a blessing to have lived such a full life touching so many people in so many ways.  Both of our families are strong and supportive because of the values our parents taught us.  I remember all of our holiday get togethers in Charleston, South Hills, visiting Mamo (her rolls were the best!) and Papo and trips they took us on, and then all the visits to the Aloha.  Mother always had a big smile when she said, "Brother is coming."  I especially remember the trip Ruth, Bill, Mother, and Ann Logan took to the Eastern Shore to revisit their roots.  What a memorable trip!!  Ruth and Bill have been our family historians!  Uncle Willie had so much kindness in his heart and a gentle soul that lives in each of you. We will miss him.  Love to all of you and know we are right there with you in spirit.

As we honor Uncle Willie's life there are so many moments to cherish.  He and Ruth were true soulmates and blessed with two wonderful children they are so proud of and many grands and great grands to carry on the Green name and family traditions.  I remember all of our holiday get togethers in Charleston, trips to Mamos and Papos, (her rolls were the best!)and all the visits to the Aloha - mother and Uncle Willie along with daddy and Ruth,  established in all of us the importance of family. Ruth and Bill have been our "historians" and kept us up with family history.  I know Uncle Willie is up there pulling for Kentucky this weekend in the Final Four.  He and CC have been quite the "buds" keeping up with basketball games through the years.  To each of you, your life is richer and blessed by having such a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to each of you.  We will all miss Uncle Willie and all the kindness and love he had for each of us.  Much love to all of you - we are thinking of you.

To the Green family,
I know Uncle Willie is now at peace with Miss Ginny there to greet him. We have some wonderful memories of the Pharrs and the Greens being together. Mother enjoyed her visits with Uncle Willie and Ruth when they visited the Aloha. All of our lives are richer and blessed because of those two. Family is that key connection to it all. Love to all of you and know that our thoughts and prayers have been with all of the family during these past months.

To Uncle Willy's loved ones, 
What Chad says is so true. I can vividly remember Ruth & Bill pulling up in their meticulous car to the front desk of the Aloha. Grandma & I had some nice visits with them. When I went to Louisville on a school trip, I was so proud when they came to pick me up and show me all of Louisville. We are all blessed with a wonderful family. I know we will continue to carry on the traditions Uncle Willy & Grandma helped our families to establish. I will carry their spirit my heart forever. Thinking of you at this time.

Here's to Uncle Willie, he was a brave, humble, wonderful man. I'll never forget the last time we talked and spent time together at the Aloha, several months before Grandma Pharr passed. He was a great brother to her. I'm thankful our paths crossed that day. Grandma and Uncle Willie lived long fruitful loving lives, they will be forever remembered and loved by all those fortunate enough to have known them.

Papa was one the most amazing people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. He was humble, loving, and wise even beyond his 90 years. In the eight short years that I got to know Papa I learned from him how to live a truly fulfilling life full of love and family. I will honor him and his legacy as I try to live life in a way that he would be proud of. 
Thank you Papa for all that you taught me. You made me a better person and I will always cherish the time I spent with you. I love you.

Rest in Peace, Papa.  God finally called you home and you are in a better place ... I love you with everything that I am.  I miss you beyond what words can express already, but I am extremely grateful for the amazing 32 years that I got you have you as my Papa.
