He was the oldest of five children of his parents, Dr. William J. Sr., and Mary Ann Brady. Bill leaves one daughter, Elizabeth Brady, who lives and works in New York City. He was committed to his family, enjoyed spending time with his siblings and cherished his daughter's visits. Proud to be a member of Louisville's first class of licensed paramedics. As a Louisville Metro EMS Paramedic, he served the community from 1974 to 2001 and then retired after 27 years of service.
In addition to his daughter Liz, Bill is survived by his siblings, Mike of Hadley, MA, Mary Celeste Fowler of Louisville, Sharon Hampton of Sunrise, MN and Dr. Sean Brady of Louisville; also his former wife, Anita Brady, mother of Liz. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Thorin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bill was a caring man with a generous spirit.
A funeral service to celebrate Bill's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with inurnment to take place at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 11 a.m. until service time.
