He was born on December 10, 1945 in Louisville, KY. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired corrections officer and was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. He was an active member of American Legion Post #39 of LaGrange, VFW Post #7891 and DAVA #155 in Henry County.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dottie Jean Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Gayle Markham; his children Karen Leach (John), Monika McKenzie (Steve), Erik Huber (Danielle) and Billy-Joel Markham (Shauna); seven grandkids; two sisters and two brothers.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from1-8 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
