William Edward Barnes, 91, of Louisville, passed away February 25, 2024. He was a retired truck driver for McLean Trucking Company and a member of Teamsters Local 89.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Thelma Barnes; sisters, Frankie Fight(Charlie) and Christine Hardin(Ed); and his brother, Settles Barnes(Carolyn). He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Barnes; sons, Mark Barnes(Beverly), Tim Barnes(Jacqueline), Dean Barnes, and Michael Barnes; grandchildren, William Barnes, Christina Hayes(Jason), Tyler Barnes(Stephanie), Julie Barnes, Chase Barnes, and Shanlee Barnes; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11am Friday, March 1, 2024 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
