Bill retired from the army after 21 years of service, he also was a member of the VFW Post 1170 and one of the funders of the game Uno. Bill enjoyed life and being a loving husband, dad, and papaw.
He was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents, brother, and sister.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years Gina Apple; children, Barbra Burgess, Eddie Apple, Sherill Haycraft, Samantha Duvall, And Tony Duvall; sister, Judy Sigler.
He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral for Bill will be held on Wednesdays at 1:00pm at Advantage Funeral Home (10907 Dixie Highway) with entombment to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation for Bill will be Wednesday from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
