He was born to the late Luther “Jim” and Lillian Weber. He was also known as “Fuzz” by his lifelong friends.
Buddy is preceded in death by his brother Marvin “Tubby” Weber and sister-in-law Joan Weber. He is survived by his beloved daughter Michelle Weber, sister Linda Ottman (Bill), nieces; Debra Bruner (Ron), Lori Moody (Phillip), nephews; Tony Weber (Sheri), Swain Ottman (Darla), and Shawn Ottman (Marie-Elena). Also his gran-dog Lexi (BooBoo).
Buddy was a graduate of Ahren’s Trade School, class of 1955. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and devoted member of Third Lutheran Church. He eventually retired from MSD where he served as a field inspector for many years. In his early years Buddy was a very talented photographer and artist and even won a scholarship to UofL.
Buddy enjoyed placing a wager on anything whether it be a card game with 2 special groups of friends, horse racing, casinos, or a game of bingo. He absolutely loved to travel and achieved a life goal of visiting all 50 states. He was an avid model train collector and was always known as a phenomenal dancer. He used his guidance while coaching little league baseball and football.
During the holidays, Buddy followed in his father’s footsteps and would dress as Santa Clause for church and other events around town. His giving spirit was always very clear as he would visit friends’ houses dressed as Santa to ask the children what they wanted for Christmas. He was a loving man and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
A funeral service for Buddy will be held on Monday October 7, 2024 at 11am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206 with visitation on Sunday October 6, 2024 from 2pm-7pm. Interment will take place at Cave Hill Cemetery following the service.
