Brother Wayne served as the pastor of Okolona Christian Church for eighteen years, pastor of Maxeys Christian Church for twenty-four years, chaplain of the Jefferson County Police Department for fourteen years, and chaplain of DeKalb Medical Center for fourteen years.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife for over sixty-seven years, Ida Mae Moore Spangler, Children, Gary Wayne Spangler(Becky),Dona Gale Spangler Muller(Gerd), grandchildren, Lynn Howard(Mark), Scott Adams(Michelle), Gina Morrison(Jason), Dirk Muller, seven great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, sister, Marietta Smith(Jerry), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1pm at Okolona Christian Church, 10801 Faithful Way, Louisville, Kentucky 40229, with a reception to follow.
