Wanda was many wonderful things including: a sister to many siblings, a military wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She impacted so many lives from her years of service at The Kentucky School for the Blind from where she retired, and Buechel Park Baptist Church. Wanda was a woman of devout Christian faith, love and kindness. She enjoyed tending to her blackberry bushes, sewing, painting and quilting but above all, she valued spending time with her loved ones. She brought so much joy to her family as they did her and she always made sure to give as many kisses and hugs as possible to extend her joy and love.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents: Estes and Dulcina Gibson and siblings: Pauline Gibson, Margeret Silverthorn, Jim Gibson, Helen Horn and Wilma Hare.
She is survived by her children: Cathy Weast (John), Constance Walters (David), and Curtis Floyd II; grandchildren: Jason Denny, Leigha Hemann (Jim), Amber Floyd, Rachel Goodman (Chris), and Allison Walters; Great grandchildren: Katharine Hemann, and Austin Goodman; and siblings: Betty MacNiven, Judith Jackman and Veronica Trepanier.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to her caregiver, Jamani, for her kindness and compassion when providing in-home care.
