Verlina (Nina) Jean Owens of Louisville, formerly of Pekin IN, passed away Tuesday, June 7th 2016. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a compassionate, caring person who gave freely of herself through her volunteering at CASA, Hoosier Hills Pact, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and as a foster parent for Washington Co. She was an immensely kind and loving woman who shared her affection with all people and animals she came across. She is preceded in passing by a daughter: Kimberly Littrell, son-in-law Bobby Littrell, and granddaughters Malina and Shelby. She is survived by her husband: Kim Owens; daughters: Calina Wittry & Brianne (Owens) Gebhardt and son in law, Jonas. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 11th 2016, from 11am-2pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy.
