He was a paramedic with the Louisville Metro EMS, and had worked as a volunteer for the McMahan Fire Department. Formerly he had worked with the Commonwealth Ambulance Service and the Shelby County EMS. Tom was a graduate of Trinity High School and attended J.C.C. He was an avid baseball fan and knew all of the scores from years ago.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Scott Schwartz; parents, William R. and Suzanne Schultz Schwartz; brother, John Schwartz of Texas; and the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Randall.
Tom's Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at noon, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
