Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army. Thomas decided to continue his military career and had 20 years of service. He was part of the 101st Airborne, a photographer and a Supply sergeant.
Thomas was married to the love of his life for 48 years until she passed away, Maudell Simpson Hopkins.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Deborah Thrasher (Mark), and Donna Hopkins, grandchildren, Julia Vanwinkle(Austin), Jamie Hopkins, Corinne Wilson(Craig), Makinsey Thrasher and Thomas Brown, great grandchildren, Craig Wilson and Carlee Wilson and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10am-1pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. A funeral service will start at 1pm. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery on Monday April 17, 2022 at 11am.
