Thomas E. Appling, 80, passed away on Friday, November 07, 2014. He was born on January 16, 1934 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Marvin and Betty Appling. Tom was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Korean War. He was a retired Director of Medical Records for Audubon Hospital, and was a longtime member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Joe and Jerry Appling, and his wife of 56 years, Colleen Appling.
He is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and extended family.
A joint service to celebrate Tom and Colleen’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 8th, at Highland Presbyterian Church, 1011 Cherokee Road.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Rapier Fund at Highlands Presbyterian Church.
