Teresa Burton

Teresa Burton (nee Craven),beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother passed away on Friday February 11,2022 in Louisville KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Juanita Craven. She is survived by her husband Don Burton, her sister Sandi Nipp, her children Donovan, Aaron and Alicia Burton and her grandson Elijah White. Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Teresa attended Clarksville high school, and married Don Burton in 1968. They raised their 3 children in St. Matthews. Prior to retirement, as a pediatric care nurse at the Home of the Innocents hospital Teresa cared for countless children with the same dedication and compassion she gave to her own family. Teresa loved animals and was an ardent, fundraiser and supporter of several pig rescue organizations. She was expert with a sewing needle and loved to knit and crochet. She made hundreds of crocheted pigs to raise money for the pig rescue organizations she cared about.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at the Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village Funeral Home at 7410 Westport Road in Louisville, KY on Saturday, February 19th from 11am-2pm with a 2pm memorial service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to an animal charity in Teresa's name.
