TRAVIS, Sylvia, 89, entered into rest in Hendersonville, TN.
She was a retired teacher’s aide from PRP High School and Conway Middle School. Mrs. Travis was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and a former member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in rest by her husband, Charles, and son, Phillip.
Mrs. Travis is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Bare (Tony) of Goodlettsville, TN; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Moman, Phillip and Raymond Bryant.
Her funeral service will be on Thursday at 1pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2pm until 8pm.
