Susie J. Carney, 71, of Grand Rapids, MI, formerly of Louisville and Elizabethtown, passed away on August 30, 2010. She was the former Susie Jeanes and daughter of Paul and Mary Claycomb Jeanes. She was a member of Severens Valley Baptist Church of Elizabethtown and Walnut Street Baptist in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Madison Carney M. D.
Cherishing her memory are her children, Heather Parisi (Robert) and William M. Carney Jr. (Bethany); sister, Betty J. Berg (Penny Thompson); and three grandchildren.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. till 2 at the funeral home.
