Steven Russell passed away unexpectedly at his home in Peachtree City, GA on December 23, 2012. He was born June 23, 1973 in El Paso, TX to John M. Russell, Jr. and Carol Schuler Russell, and spent his formative years in Louisville, KY. He was a graduate of Trinity High School and Rose Hullman Institute of Technology in Terra Haute, IN. Steve was a devoted and loving father, a man passionate about his Christian faith and an active and involved member of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. In his professional life, he was a staff engineer and a project leader with Panasonic. Steve will be remembered most for his keen wit, infectious laugh and smile, and the deep love and affection he had for his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Schuler Russell, and his grandparents, Otto and Edith Schuler and John and Virginia Russell.
He is survived by his children, Andrew and Emily Russell of Peachtree City; father, Jack Russell (Mary Lynne) of Louisville; brother, Chris Russell (Francie) of Louisville and their children, Greg, Matt and Laura Russell; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and former spouse, Sarah Russell.
A celebration of Steve’s life funeral mass will be conducted 10 am Saturday, January 12 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church,1395 Girard Ave, Louisville KY 40222, with a private family inurnment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Friday, January 11, 2012 at the church.
