It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stephen Hardy Mitchell, which occurred on
April 25th, 2022. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, John Hardy Mitchell Jr., Ramona
Mitchell Miller and John “Pop” Miller Jr. and his sister, Patty Mitchell. He was the beloved
husband of Doris J. Mitchell, father of Sandra Young and David Brown, grandfather of Drake
Lee-Patterson, Cooper and Skyler Young and Lorelei Brown. He is also survived by sister,
Connie Maitland and brother, Mark Miller and two nephews and two nieces.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Stephen’s life on June 25th
from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 1616 Gardiner Lane, Louisville, KY 40205.
When you drive in the entrance, turn left and the clubhouse will be on the right just past the
tennis court next to the pool area. Parking is located in front of the clubhouse.
