Shirley Ann Downs, age 81, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. She was retired from Restonic after 28 years of service and was a former employee of Mike Linnig's. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, gambling, cooking, baking, and watching TV.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Downs; and her siblings, Donnie Downs, Jay Downs, Mike Downs, and Norma Ludwig. She is survived by her children, Connie Stevenson(Kyle), Donnie Allen(Karen), Bonnie Schneider(John), Ronnie Allen(Tricia), and Vonnie Miller(Jeff); 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and another on the way; and her siblings, Kenny Downs, Tony Downs, and Rose Durham.
Funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Shirley's memory can be made to Susan G. Komen.
