Shawn was my best friend for many years during school. Although we had lost contact after graduating she will always hold a special place in my heart. You were my first best friend. You taught me so much about life and I could always depend on you to be there for me no matter what. You could light up a room by simply walking in. Besides your outer beauty, which was obvious to anyone who saw you, you had an inner beauty unmatched by anyone I've ever known. You were always kind to those who were in need. 
The past few days have been a roller coaster of many tears and much laughter; recounting memories of good times, sad times, and the grief of knowing that you've gone home.
