Sharon A. Clayton

Sharon Ann Clayton, 79, of Crescent Hill passed away on April 15, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1945 to the late John and Cora Lee Render. Sharon is preceded in death by brother John W. Render Jr.. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years Jerry Clayton, brother Gary Render (Stephanie), God daughter Olivia Petrey, nieces; Lee Ann, Ashley, Theresa, and nephew Darrell.

Sharon’s life was dedicated to service. She was a dedicated member of St. Frances of Rome, a Passionist Oblate, an Ursuline Associate, as well as a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Sharon worked for 35 years as a customer service representative for Bank of Louisville. After her retirement she continued her acts of service by volunteering at the Ursuline Campus and Nazareth Home for 20 more years.

A funeral for Sharon will be held on Thursday May 2, 2024 12pm at St. Frances of Rome Church 2119 Payne St. Louisville, KY 40206. Visitation will be prior at church from 10am-12pm. Burial will follow service and take place at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Family would like to give a special thanks to Jackie Petrey for her time as a caregiver for Sharon over the years. Your time and care truly meant the world to Sharon.
