He was retired from the U S Army and a Korean War veteran where he was awarded the Purple Heart.. He also retired from the old Peerless Manufacturing, VBM and West Point Lumber. He was an avid golfer and loved going on golf trips and followed horse racing. He was a member of the Medora Christian Church.
Mr. Epley is survived by his daughter, Sharon Mills (Mike); his son, Tom Epley (Laura); five granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Epley.
His funeral will be on Wednesday at 12:30pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday from 2pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
