Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, August 20, 1926 Ruth was the daughter of the lates, Norvin Walter Karl & Matilda Gertrude Junot. She was a retired machine operator for Double Envelope and was raised in the Lutheran Faith. She was most notably known for her delicious homemade candy, which she shared with friends and family alike. Ruth was a homemaker most of her life. It wasn't until after the untimely loss of her first husband, Nick, a lineman by trade, that Ruth was left on her own. Ruth, now a widow, became a very independent woman, taking care of her children. A meek lady, she became very strong willed being far from weak.
Besides her parents, Norvin Walter Karl & Matilda Gertrude Junot; her first husband, Nick Williams; her second husband, Charles Cecil; her stepfather, John Junot; stepmother, Nettie Bea Karl; & brother, Norvin Walter Karl, Jr. precede Ruth in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Paul E. (Becky) Williams, Jr. & Thomas R. Williams; her grandchildren, Brian Fowler, Matt Williams & Tobi Williams – Wiseman; 8 great – grandchildren; sisters, Betty Richardson, Shirley Guenthner & Sharon Alexander; & brother, Kenneth Karl; her four – legged companion, Penny; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Home. Ruth will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then again on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Hour also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Home.
