Ruth Bielefeld Knox, 92, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Westport Place Health Campus. She was proceeded in death by her husband Jesse W. Knox Jr. and son Jesse W Knox III, along with siblings Mary Watts, David Bielefeld, and Paul Bielefeld. The family would like to thank Westport Place Health Campus for the loving care that they provided. She was a member of Buechel United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Martha M Bielefeld; daughters Janet Knox and Joyce Knox Young; as well as five grandchildren, Melissa Young, Neil Young (Melanie), Allyson Huber (Jamie), Jessica Corder, and Meghan Corder, and two great grand daughters, Avery and Emmy Young. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10am Friday, September 16, 2011 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home at Westport Village. Private burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy the family has requested memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, Hosparus of Louisville, or Wayside Christian Mission.
