Ruth Burkhart Andrews, 90 years old, passed away on May 17, 2018 at Wesley Manor. She was a retired teacher from the Jefferson County Public Schools. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ruth was born in Wallins Creek, KY to Stephen and Serena Burkhart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, R.C. Andrews. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bennett (Karl), Janice Andrews, Carolyn Burke (Patrick); son Richard Andrews; three brothers: Stephen Burkhart, James Burkhart and Jim Decker; three grandchildren: Kara Kelly, Grace and Emily Brown; step grandchildren, Zach and Allison Burke; four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday May 25, 2018 10-2 with services at 2 PM. Advantage Funeral Home-Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, with burial following in Bethany Cemetery.
