Rudy H. Barnes, 86, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on the morning of July 24, 2016. He was a native of Louisville and a Catholic by faith. He retired from General Electric and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Geneva Barnes; parents, John and Sophia Barnes and several siblings.
Left cherishing his memory is his wife of 20 years, Ruby Griffin Barnes; children, Mike Barnes, Sherron Fewless, Denise Cross and Larry Barnes; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister,Betty Neuner; brother, Gene Barnes and step-daughters, Charlene Algeier, Bobbie Jean Ward and Connie
Dunaway.
A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11a - 2 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus or Cystic Fibrosis.
