Ruby Barnes

Ruby Barnes, 87, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Ruby was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ray Barnes.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Wanda Cales and Patricia Sansom; grandchildren, Michelle (Craig), Melinda (Rick) and Mike; great-grandchildren, Abby, Makayla, Jonathan and Kathleen (Jay); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Ruby's life will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, noon-8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed in Ruby's name to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to family members and friends for their many prayers, calls, cards and visits.
